We are currently looking for an experienced Injection Molding Process Technician to join our 2nd and 3rd shift team at Pyramid Plastics, a division of Pyramid Molding Group. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimum management and supervision of people, machines, material and processes to accomplish the objectives of the divisions and production operations. The candidate must have the ability to effectively complete the essential duties and responsibilities as outlined below.

Our Maintenance Technician will play a vital role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of injection molding equipment, contributing to the successful production of high-quality plastic parts. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding machines and related equipment used in the production of plastic parts. This role involves ensuring that the machinery operates efficiently, minimizing downtime, and contributing to the overall production process.

Hours: Monday - Friday: 6:30am - 3:00pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair and maintain plastic injection press machines (1 ton - 1000 ton)
  • Repair and maintain physical structure of all facility equipment which includes injection molding presses, end-of-arm tooling, robots, fixture and assembly equipment, material feed system, etc.
  • Ability to understand power distribution system (up to 480 volts)
  • Assist in general plant maintenance
  • Repair and maintains all automation equipment, conveyor belts, sprue pickers, and robotic equipment
  • Conduct forklift inspections
  • Assist in safety fixes throughout the plant
  • Complete other duties as assigned

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Technician, preferably with experience in plastics injection molding equipment.
  • Knowledge of injection molding machines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in using maintenance tools.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and protocols in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Forklift Certified
