Position Overview:
As a Plastics Injection Molding Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in our operations by ensuring the efficient handling and preparation of materials for the injection molding process. This position provides a unique opportunity for career growth, including a pathway to train as a Setup Technician and ultimately progress to a Processor role within the company. In addition, we are dedicated to investing in the education and development of our employees and will support related schooling endeavors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and document incoming raw materials.
  • Prepare materials for production, including weighing, measuring, and loading into hoppers or feed systems.
  • Maintain organized and clean material storage areas.
  • Machine Operation Assistance:
  • Assist Setup Technicians and Processors in the setup and operation of injection molding machines.
  • Monitor material flow during production runs, ensuring consistent supply to the machines.
  • Perform visual inspections of materials for any defects or abnormalities.
  • Notify supervisors of any issues affecting material quality.

Documentation:

  • Accurately record material usage, production quantities, and any discrepancies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (additional technical education a plus).
  • Prior experience in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation.

Career Pathway:

  • Material Handler (Entry Level):
    • Receive training in material handling and injection molding processes.
  • Setup Technician (Intermediate Level): ·
    • Receive comprehensive training in machine setup and troubleshooting.
    • Assist in the preparation and setup of injection molding machines.
  • Processor (Advanced Level):
    • Attain in-depth knowledge of the injection molding process.
    • Take on a more active role in overseeing production runs and ensuring quality standards are met.
