Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards before they are released for distribution or use. This position involves conducting thorough inspections, tests, and evaluations of various components, materials, and finished products to ensure they meet the required specifications and industry regulations. The Quality Control Inspector collaborates closely with production teams, engineers, and other stakeholders to maintain and enhance the overall quality of the company's products.
 
Shift: 10:30pm - 7:00am Monday - Friday  Hourly Wage: $21.00
 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform inspections: Conduct detailed inspections and examinations of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using various tools, equipment, and techniques to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct tests: Utilize appropriate testing equipment and procedures to evaluate product functionality, performance, and reliability. This includes conducting physical, mechanical, and electrical tests as needed.
  • Document and report: Accurately record inspection and test results, documenting any non-conformities or deviations from specifications. Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify and resolve issues: Identify any quality issues, defects, or deviations from standards and work with relevant teams to determine the root cause of the problem. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement corrective actions and preventive measures.
  • Compliance monitoring: Ensure that products adhere to relevant quality and regulatory standards, such as ISO, industry-specific guidelines, and safety regulations.
  • Calibration and maintenance: Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and tools regularly to ensure accurate and reliable measurements. Identify any equipment issues and initiate repairs or replacements as necessary.
  • Continuous improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives by providing suggestions, feedback, and recommendations for enhancing product quality, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures.
  • Training and support: Provide training and guidance to production personnel on quality control procedures, best practices, and quality standards to promote a culture of quality awareness and compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Quality Control Inspector or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Previous experience working in the Injection Molding industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality control principles, techniques, and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using various inspection tools, equipment, and software applications.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • CMM training a plus.
