    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Daily Gemba Walks – Perform quality audits /walk through on floor to ensure quality standards and standard conditions are met
    • Inspecting output samples using industry-appropriate methods, such as comparing to standards, measuring dimensions, and examining functionality
    • Improve the production start-up process, First Article Inspection (FAI), Implementation of the Key Quality Characteristics monitoring processes
    • Audit company processes to ensure monitoring and continuous improvement
    • Checking that the assembly or production line adheres to standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements
    • Program, set up and operate Coordinate Measuring machines (CMM) for the inspection of components for plastic injection molds
    • Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare to produced goods
    • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
    • Training the production team on quality control measures to improve product excellence
    • Proposing improvements to the production process
    • Monitoring the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and discard any that do not meet requirements
    • Updating job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities and regular training
    • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs
    • Must be able to read blueprints to interpret customer requirements
    • Must effectively communicate with the Quality Assurance Manager and other personnel within the organization as required
    • Complete other duties as assigned

    REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

    • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent in work experience
    • Working knowledge of measuring equipment, basic math skills, and use of visual standards to make quality decisions
    • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as customer prints, safety rules, written instructions, and operating procedures
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Good problem-solving and organizational skills
    • 1 – 5 years of previous quality experience
    • 1 – 5 Years or previous experience in Injection Molding
    • Ability to read Blueprints
    • PPAP experience a must
    • CMM trained
    • Ability to speak and understand Spanish a plus

    Schedule
    Monday-Friday, weekends as needed.
    2nd Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm
