Pyramid Plastics is a leading provider of plastic injection molding solutions, dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our clients. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Quality Manager to join our team and ensure the highest standards of quality in our manufacturing processes. The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance systems and activities to ensure the consistent production of high-quality plastic injection molded products. This role involves overseeing the quality control team, managing quality-related documentation, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Qualtiy Leadership

  • Lead and manage the quality assurance team, providing direction, training, and support.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality awareness throughout the organization.

Qualtiy Control

  • Daily Gemba Walks – Perform quality audits /walk through on floor to ensure quality standards and standard conditions are met.
  • Ensure all quality control activities are documented and comply with industry standards and customer specifications.
  • Investigate and resolve quality-related issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.
  • Reviewing blueprints and specifications to compare produced goods.
  • Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes and inputting data into quality database
  • Coordinate dimensional layouts or perform PPAP with measuring instruments, including CMM programming.
  • Keeping measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain and manage quality documentation, including control plans, inspection records, and non-conformance reports.
  • Responsible for sending annual compliance documents to customers.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2008, ISO 13485:20016 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits.

Customer Focus

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customer quality concerns and complaints.
  • Work closely with customers to understand their quality requirements and ensure their satisfaction.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address customer issues.
  • Coordinate PPAP submittal with customers.

Training & Development

  • Develop and deliver training programs for employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and advancements in quality management.
  • Department annual performance reviews.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent in work experience.
  • 2–5 years of previous experience in managing a Quality Department.
  • 1–3 Years or previous experience in Injection Molding.
  • Must have PPAP and CMM experience.
  • Ability to read Blueprints.
  • Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as customer prints, safety rules, written instructions, and operating procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Micro-Vu Vision System is a plus.
  • Ability to speak and understand Spanish a plus.
